Get Testnet Tokens
Testnet LCAI tokens are required to pay for gas fees when deploying contracts and sending transactions on the Lightchain AI Testnet. The faucet distributes free tokens for development purposes.[!NOTE] Testnet tokens have zero monetary value and cannot be transferred to mainnet.
They exist solely for development and testing.
1. Claim via the Web Faucet
The quickest way to get testnet LCAI:- Visit the faucet at https://faucet.lightchain.ai.
- Connect your wallet or paste your wallet address.
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification.
- Click "Request Tokens".
- Receive 0.5 LCAI in your wallet within a few seconds.
The faucet is limited to one request per address every 24 hours.

2. Claim via the Discord Bot
You can also request tokens through the Lightchain AI Discord:- Join the Lightchain AI Discord.
- Navigate to the #testnet-faucet channel.
- Type the following command:

4. Request Bulk Testnet Tokens
If you're building a dApp that requires significant testnet liquidity (e.g., stress testing, liquidity pool simulations, or multi-user scenarios), you can request a bulk allocation:- Open a ticket in the #dev-support channel on Discord.
- Include your wallet address, project name, and a brief description of your use case.
- The team can allocate up to 100 LCAI for qualified projects.
5. Verify Your Balance
After claiming tokens, verify your balance:In Your Wallet
Switch to the Lightchain AI Testnet network in MetaMask or Trust Wallet. Your LCAI balance should update within a few seconds.Via CLI
